Fyfe’s Energy and Resources Group works with major exploration and distribution clients to deliver specialist mining, hydrogen and renewable energy, oil and gas projects across the country. These include mining process plant modifications, upstream flowlines, leases, network gathering and distribution systems, major gas transmission pipelines, oil and gas above ground processing facilities, as well as maintenance and construction related work programs.

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team to work on project portfolios across the energy and resources sectors, specifically mining, renewables, oil, and gas. 

The Responsibilities:

This is a senior position that requires an energetic team player who can lead projects, consult with clients, and mentor junior team members.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including design engineers and project managers, to ensure projects are delivered on time and exceed client expectations.

What we will love about you:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineer with relevant experience in the oil and gas, and/or mining industries
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical design projects
  • Possess a strong understanding of ASME B31.3 and AS 2885
  • Experienced with Caesar and Autopipe programs
  • Proficient with EPDECOM
  • Experienced with modelling buried piping systems 
  • Strong analytical and technical report writing skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and client requirements
  • A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality work
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects
