The opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering and drive initiatives that contribute to the success of our company. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct on a team day to day basis in order to achieve company, department and individual goals and metrics 
• Lead core engineering activities such as, customer order processing, product improvements, new product development, part and product evaluations and root cause investigations 
• Initiate design reviews and respond to feedback on design, manufacturability and process consistency 
• Manage the daily tasks in the design and development of new and improved products to meet the global markets 
• Support the quality function in the assessment of product and component related issues 
• Review of tenders and participate in QFD generation for ETO requirements 
• Ensure all product designs are electrically compliant and structurally certified as required with all supporting documentation filed and maintained 

What You Must Have

• Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering 
• Minimum five years of relevant experience
• Experience leading a team of professionals 
• More than ten years of experience engineering experience
• Electrical design experience encompassing extra-low and low voltages
• Related experience within a manufacturing or assembly environment
• Proficient with computer applications including AutoCAD and MS Office products
• Effective time management and project planning skills
• Ability to deliver operational outcomes to support strategic objectives 
• Related experience within a manufacturing or assembly environment
