Our Health Service is expanding and so is our Cardiac Care Team

• The Chest Pain Assessment Service provides outpatient diagnostic cardiac testing not limited to, Exercise Stress Testing, Dobutamine Stress Testing, and Exercise Echoes.

• Permanent Full-time opportunity available

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the unit and with other members of the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, general practitioners and other agencies (including non-Government agencies).

The Clinical Nurse provides contemporary clinical leadership and care within a specific area supporting the general function of the unit through the application of best practice principles, education, leadership and portfolio management in the application and role modelling of professional nursing practice standards in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA).

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills and abilities in cardiovascular risk reduction management to achieve the standards of practice set out by the National Heart Foundation, demonstrating accountability and responsibility for the standard of nursing care provided to patients.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in Cardiac and Medical nursing, delivering expert nursing care in complex situations while providing support and direction to other team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and documentation to facilitate quality patient outcomes, in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service and professional standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors and maintain a positive workplace culture through well-developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate staff and manage delegated resources including prioritising needs and supporting day-to-day changes.
  • Demonstrates honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.

  • 17.5% annual leave loading (Additional allowances/entitlements may apply)
  • 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation
