Job Description
As a Senior Associate in our clients Privacy, Data & Information Law team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier legal advice and solutions to their government clients. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal matters and collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on privacy, data, and information law matters to Commonwealth government clients.
- Assist clients in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and agreements related to data privacy and information security.
- Conduct legal research, monitor legislative changes, and provide proactive advice to clients.
- Represent clients in negotiations, dispute resolutions, and litigation, if necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to offer comprehensive legal solutions.
The Successful Applicant
- A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing in privacy, data, and information law.
- Admission to practice law in the Australian Capital Territory.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and matters.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
