  1. A global leader in high-performance insulation and building solutions is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Specification Manager to join their team and manage the NSW/ACT territories.

The Opportunity at Hand


Reporting to the National Specifications Director, your new role as Specification Manager (NSW/ACT) will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of insulation products within said market.

Your primary focus will be on leveraging your deep knowledge, understanding, and proven success in selling insulation products to influence key stakeholders, including architects, specifiers, consultants, and contractors, in specifying your products into their projects.

Furthermore, as part of your main objective, you will be responsible for identifying business opportunities through developing new prospects and interacting with new and existing stakeholders to increase interest in our products.

Aspects of Your Day-to-Day
Being expert in your field, you’ll not be surprised that you’ll be required to:
  • Develop, implement and execute strategic plans to drive specification and sales within the NSW/ACT markets.
  • Leverage platforms such as BCI to search leads, qualify and drive leads through to the sales process by initiating face-to-face/online appointments with external stakeholders.
  • Conduct several CPD or product presentations per week; could be focused on any key stakeholder group depending on the business needs/market opportunity.
  • Use the Salesforce platform as a basis for all project tracking & reporting.
  • Focus on building and nurturing relationships with architects, specifiers, consultants, and contractors to understand their project requirements and influence product specification.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities and support project delivery.
And of course,
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

So, How Do You Stand Out?

Here are some skills and attributes that’ll be essential for.

Firstly,
  • A proven track record of successfully selling insulation products within the Australian construction industry - preferably locally in/around the territory you’ll be acquiring in this role.
Secondly,
  • You are able to articulate and express deep technical knowledge and understanding of insulation products and their applications.
Moreover,
  • You possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • You have built a strong network of contacts within the construction industry, particularly with architects, specifiers, consultants, and contractors who love working with you
  • You are adaptable, professional, courteous, and motivated and must work well individually or as a member of a team.
  • Whilst you may be expert in your field, you must be patient, ready, willing and able to learn and comprehend the new products you’ll be selling in order to effectively communicate your value proposition to prospects.
