This role has people, program and stakeholder management responsibilities. They work with a considerable degree of independence and under broad direction. You will develop, operate and maintain the ACMA's network infrastructure environments, ensuring support standards are met. Deliver a range of services using Cisco's ecosystem and integration with other Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products and services. Design and implement good practice solutions in alignment with the whole of government cyber security overlay and compliance with the Essential 8. You will provide expert engineering guidance and leadership within one or more technology domains, monitor and manage network services provided by third party providers, support and troubleshoot network issues within a software defined network framework and develop and maintain standard operating procedure documents for the ACMA's network environment.

The key duties of the position include:We are seeking an experienced Network and Systems Engineer, who has a wide range of experience and skills. You will be a strong advocate of continuous improvement and automation when maintaining network infrastructure and services.
Your strong technical knowledge and operational experience within a corporate or Government ICT context will allow you to maintain and deliver high performing and professional outcomes. You will provide technical leadership within the team with a focus on reliability, recoverability and security-using best working practices within the ICT environment.
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in managing complex network infrastructure and services; within a team who are responsible for the security, reliability, performance, sustainment, and maintenance of network infrastructure and services.
