This role is open to local Canberra residents or relocation assistance is offered for the successful candidate.

Provide guidance and support in the management ofHSEQ system implementation and compliance to our expanding ACT team. Provide a site presence across numerous Commercial & Defence construction projects.

RESPONSIBITILIES

  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation
  • Advise and educate site personnel of legislative requirements and procedures
  • Administer incident and hazard reporting processes
  • Encourage a healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible working culture
  • Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits
  • Coach site teams on effective delivery of pre-start meetings and toolbox meetings
  • Coordinate HSEQ training programs
  • Maintain competency standards
  • Analyse HSEQ performance, reporting and system updates
  • Maintain company IMS
  • Compile project specific HSEQ documentation to support tender bids as required

ABOUT YOU

You will have previous HSE experience and are looking to step up into larger main contractor.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a HSE Advisor role
  • Prior construction experience (preferably commercial sector)
  • Flexibility to travel to regional areas if required, with overnight stays on monthly basis
  • Experience in creating and reviewing SWMS and JHA’s
  • Have an understanding of Quality Management processes
  • Police Clearance
  • Drivers Licence
