Our Forklift Operators are responsible for operating forklifts while performing tasks to include, loading/unloading vehicles, relocating and staging of stock into racks. There may be requirements from time to time to complete other Warehouse duties.

The role is also responsible for maintaining the site's safety rules in both the warehouse and distribution staging areas whilst undertaking tasks such as:

  • Operate forklift in a safe manner to ensure operator and pedestrian safety at all times and obey all other site safety requirements
  • Receiving and recording of materials
  • Scan materials, receiving stock in and scanning to correct location
  • Restacking of pallets, and wrapping appropriate pallets, using relevant packaging for nominated customers
  • Ensure site Chain of Responsibility and report immediately any potential issues - in particular DG transportation

The role also must adhere to the site's quality controls in regards to:

  • Completing truck checklists
  • Sampling of raw materials
  • Correct storage of liquids and powders
  • Identifying and storage of appropriate cold/frozen materials
  • Pest control

In order to be successful in the role, we are looking for:

  • An effective communicator who can clearly communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Safety conscious employee who understands the importance of Safety and Quality standards
  • Logistics / Inventory experience
  • Customer Focused Mindset
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, and be able to prioritise tasks
  • Knowledge and experience using SAP will be highly regarded
  • Current forklift licence - high reach and counter balance 

Working Hours: 
Our Warehouse operates from 4am - 8pm. For this position, we are looking for someone who will be able to work flexible hours during these hours between Monday to Friday based on business needs. Start times may vary between 4am and midday.
