Driven by a workforce of over 80 experienced trades and management professionals and growing, coupled with safety as a greater focus, the business is decisively seeking the right fit in the form of an NSW WHSEQ Advisor to join the Business.

Reporting directly to the two Directors, with a dotted line to the General Manager, this role will see you develop with a market leader and allow you to run your day, your way, adapting and championing a deep dive, on the current processes.

THE ESSENTIALS

Ability to support.

  • Statutory reporting on health and safety matters to the senior leadership team.
  • Conduct inductions, leading and managing toolbox meetings
  • Monitor and conduct relevant safety training.
  • Liaise with and advise personnel and sub-contractors regarding mitigation and management of risks and hazards.
  • Conduct audits on high-risk activities and site inspections.
  • Provide ongoing health and safety advice to Supervisors, Sub- Contractors, and site workers to eliminate or minimize hazards.
  • Assist sites with hazard identification and risk assessment activities.
  • Preparing risk assessments, and safety documentation to industry standards.
  • Maintain and initiate site inspections, risk assessments, task observations, and reviewing High-risk work SWMS.
  • Review and monitor contractors' SWMS.
  • Coach, mentor, and support personnel to continually improve the culture and performance of the project team
  • Managing ISO accreditation, including being responsible for the annual audit process across the group.
  • Managing workers compensation claims
  • Managing compliance with NHVR regulations including chain of responsibility regulations.
  • Broadly, ensuring all systems, policies, procedures and documentation are in order to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient working environment.
