APS Level 6 - Senior Intelligence Analyst, Compliance Assessment and Monitoring Section

The Intelligence Team provides analysis as part of the TGA’s intelligence-led compliance activities. The team seeks to identify and prioritise methodologies and threat actors to support highest value outcomes across the complete range of treatment options. This may include policy and legislative reform, education to enable voluntary compliance, assisted compliance activities and where necessary, enforcement.

As the Senior Intelligence Analyst, you will work alongside other intelligence professionals and have the opportunity to work closely with Investigations Officers across the department.

Key duties of the position include:

• Collection, extraction, collation, and analysis of information and data relevant to the operations of the Regulatory Compliance Branch, and other areas of the TGA on request.
• Production of high-quality intelligence assessments which contain actionable recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain intelligence holdings to ensure accurate decision making and investigative action.
• Proactively identify and obtain access to information systems and/or intelligence sources which will improve insight into serious non-compliance against the TGA’s regulatory scheme.
• Develop and maintain intelligence networks with state, federal and international regulators and law enforcement agencies.
• Identify and promote opportunities to improve intelligence collection and analysis methodologies and tools.
• Prepare intelligence reports.
• Prepare updates on the work program for branch management, and Executive briefs as required.
• Undertake (infrequent) travel as required by the position.
• Other duties as required.
