About the Role:

We are actively seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team and contribute to a high-rise residential development with over 170 apartments in Gosford. This role involves technical coordination of the construction process, bridging the gap between design, building services, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Management in the value management process to maximise financial benefits of the design
• Manage changes to engineering design while adhering to budgetary requirements
• Prepare sub-contract packages in collaboration with the Contracts Manager/Administrators
• Maintain awareness of contractual obligations for both head contracts and sub-contracts
• Communicate relevant information to consultants, authorities, site supervisors, construction workers, and sub-contractors
• Monitor and review performance of direct reports, providing leadership, mentoring, and coaching
• Help create and implement the Project Management Plan
• Review design for compliance with regulatory requirements
• Conduct programming, planning, and forecasting to ensure construction activities align with overall project timeline
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes and standards
• Develop and implement a site safety plan, focusing on OH&S hazards

Key Skills Required:

• Proven background in Engineering, Commercial Construction, and Delivery processes
• Ability to manage projects from early design concepts through to completion
• Strong understanding of Engineering principles and experience with documentation delivery
• Ability to read and challenge technical drawings
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia
• Experience with Design, Estimating, and Procurement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
