To assist our INFTA-Acccredited Training Provider, the Institute of Forest Therapy (IFT), we seek applications for an Officer Manager (m/f/d) in Geelong assisting us with marketing, administration and general office support:

  • Part-time, 30 hrs per week, contract with salary packaging benefits
  • Play a key role in improving training and research in Public health

Excellent people skills, administrative, marketing and project management experience and a general understanding of Community and/or Public health are essential

Key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

Office Management, Health Promotion & Communication

  • Be the focal point for national and international clients and partner organisations by responding to any of their inquiries; maintain and contribute to development of the client databases and handle all related administrative tasks.
  • Using a structured and common sense approach, plan, develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health promotion activities and communications.
  • Incorporate evaluation results to continuously improve procedures, material, content, and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the creation of internal and external digital newsletter communications with department leads.
  • Represent IFT at meetings and community events that are relevant to the role.
  • Contribute expertise in support of grant and funding applications

Marketing & Engagement

  • Assist with content development / update of relevant training and research resources as well as marketing material and campaigns.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain partnerships, cross promotion opportunities and strategic alliances with relevant community / advocacy groups as well as national and international networks.
  • Plan relevant marketing opportunities and campaigns in the area of Public health.

About You

Ideally, we are looking for someone with and all-round set of competencies:

  • Demonstrated understanding of health promotion frameworks and its application in Public health
  • Tertiary qualification in health promotion or related field or relevant experience in health system improvement
  • Administrative and/or office management skills
  • Project coordination experience including planning, monitoring, and reporting on projects
  • Experience in identifying and establishing partnerships and collaboration that support health promotion priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence organisation focus to reflect public sector health policy, priorities, and emerging trends
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, managing, and evaluating health promotion activities & projects
  • A positive and proactive approach to work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including report writing and presenting
  • Experience in quality improvement methodology, application and implementation 
  • Dedication, passion, thoroughness and reliability
  • Located in or around Geelong so travel times to the office are minimized.
