Job Title: Locum General Practitioner - Gayndah, Queensland

Hours: Full-Time or Part Time. No after-hours requirement.

Practice Information:
This DWS registered, Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-award-winning health and wellbeing organization is located in Gayndah. They deliver a holistic, whole-of-person model of care to all people. Indigenous and non-indigenous, across Bundaberg and North Burnett regions in Central Queensland. The practice provides services to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and non-Indigenous Australians, without discrimination. All services are culturally responsive and inclusive.

Position Description:
An exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to come aboard at the newly-built centre in Gayndah, North Burnett. With established services in the North Burnett over the last decade and a team of health professionals already providing services within the region for IWC, you will be joining an award-winning and dynamic Medical Service, which delivers a unique holistic model of care

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3 year experience as a General Practitioner is preferred.

  • AHPRA Registration

  • ACCRM or RACGP Fellowship

Salary Information:
Daily rate of $1,700.

About Gayndah:
Gayndah is 366 kilometres (227 mi) north of the state capital, Brisbane, and 145 kilometres (90 mi) west of the regional city of Maryborough. Agriculture and grazing have been the dominant industries of the area. The town is the centre of Queensland's largest citrus-growing area. Gayndah, a pleasant rural service centre located on the Burnett River, lies at the heart of Queensland's citrus area and proudly claims to be 'The Orange Capital of Queensland'.
