We seek to appoint a Head of House at our Corio Campus in Term 1 2025. The Head of House is an active member of the teaching staff and the School’s community. Teachers at Corio choose to join a largely residential community and are thus involved in supporting students in a host of different ways. This provides for an opportunity to develop a very full relationship with students and thus a chance to play a significant role in their overall education – academic, physical, spiritual and moral – and in doing so give them the opportunity to recognise and develop their talents. The Head of House is responsible for the welfare and progress of all students in their care and the management and direction of staff working within the House.
Reporting to the Heads of Senior School, the main purpose of this role will be to cultivate an inclusive and supportive environment that leverages the School’s unique context and reflects our Strategic Framework to enable wisdom and leadership in our students.
A Teaching background in Humanities, Science, Mathematics, English, or Careers will be an advantage.
It is essential that the successful candidate is an experienced leader with VIT registration, who has held a similar position previously. Further information regarding the key responsibilities and requirements please refer to the Position Description.
All teaching staff at Geelong Grammar School have a significant role in enhancing the resiliency and wellbeing of students.
The closing date for this position is 12:00noon on Thursday 20 June 2024. It is anticipated that interviews will be held in the first week of Term 3 2024.
