We continue to expand our operations and are seeking experienced HSET Advisors to join our team. Offering an 8/6 FIFO roster ex Perth.

As we continue to expand our operations, we have a new opportunity for an experienced HSET Advisor to join the team working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

The HSET Advisor will be responsible for ensuring that the highest Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) operational standards are maintained in all
areas of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate the management and continuous improvement of the HSE management system documentation and monitor the performance of site safety procedures.
  • Manage the Site Activity Compliance and Implementation Schedule.
  • Create and chair weekly safety and crew commute meetings.
  • Where required coordinate the development of site or area specific health and safety management system documentation and monitor the performance of the client safety procedures.
  • Manage, review, and update the site risk register.
  • Assist when required with SWMS and JHA.
  • Assist RUC HSET management through facilitation and participation in Risk Assessments as required.
  • Complete HSET document writing requirements including developing and implementing theory and practical assessments.
  • Assist as required conducting inductions, training, and competency assessments.
  • Undertake reviews of RUC training programmes, procedures and standards as required. 
  • Undertake ICAM investigations on site as and when required.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in underground mining.
  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • High level computer literacy especially with Microsoft office suite.
  • Good understanding of current WHS and mining legislation.
  • ICAM lead investigator certificate.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Working at heights certificate.

Required Competencies: 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in underground mining.
  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Certificate III Mine Emergency Response & Rescue or relevant Emergency Response qualifications
  • C Class manual driver’s licence.
  • High level computer literacy especially with Microsoft office suite.
  • Good understanding of current WHS and mining legislation.
  • ICAM lead investigator certificate.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Working at heights certificate.
