Job Description:
Role Overview
The Account Director plays an integral role in the organisation, working closely with those senior to them, and helping to grow more junior members of the team, nurturing them, and teaching them the ropes.
The Account Director needs to establish strong client relationships, deliver projects of a high quality, ensure budgets, deadlines and client needs are met with efficiency.
They also play a strong internal role in developing materials and IP required to put forward winning proposals and ideas to our clients and prospects.
KEY RESULT AREAS (KRA'S) - JOB SPECIFIC
1. Project/Account/Client Management
- Manage clients, projects and relationships ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that a strategic view is taken of their business
- Undertake both quantitative and qualitative projects undertaking interviews, running groups, crunching numbers for quant, participating in brainstorming sessions, compiling both qual and quant presentations.
- Troubleshoot issues with suppliers and handle unplanned occurrences with high levels of capability.
- Support those senior to you in the organisation.
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key clients and suppliers
2. Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities and pursue them.
- Attend new business meetings and write proposals, with a focus on independent proposal writing for medium sized clients, and working jointly on large clients with the Managing Directors
- Responsible for effective and efficient onboarding and integration of new clients and developing existing client relationships.
- Assist in development of the business more broadly, cementing an enthusiastic and cando culture and a winning work ethic
3. Elevating company profile
- Have a strong understanding of the Faster Horses position in the market, corporate vision, and offer across:
- Brand and communications research
- Corporate reputation research
- New product and service development research
- Customer experience research
- Always talk positively about Faster Horses, and look for opportunities to position the organisation as superior to competitors.
- Know, and talk about the new Faster Horses initiatives in a compelling manner.
4. Staff & Professional Development
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.
- Contribute to the professional development of all team members via on the job coaching and development of training materials.
- Keep up to date with industry changes by reading industry newsletters, attending industry update meetings and other relevant activities.
