Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Security Engineer. The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to application security, network security, cybersecurity, security engineering, and information security. The role is located in Sydney, NSW.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on IAM, SOC, SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint protection.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, frameworks, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including but not limited to Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar, McAfee, Symantec, and CrowdStrike.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills.
