About the Role
We have secured a Superintendent contract for one of our water infrastructure clients, and we’re now looking for a QA / Civil Inspector to work onsite at Somerset and Wivenhoe. This position will be a 12 month contract with another possible extension of 12 months.

This position is primarily site based in between both Somerset and Wivenhoe. Working hours will generally sit at 40 hours per week.

You’ll be part of a significant program of water infrastructure projects, and will involve:
  • Perform quality control and assurance inspections, auditing for compliance of the construction works with the project specifications and ensure contractors follow quality procedures and construction standards.
  • Identify and understand any issues with materials or structures, and recommend solutions based on their severity and criticality.
  • Prepare written reports on project progress
  • Manage documentation for projects, including maintaining detailed records and preparing reports.
  • Review of project documentation including ITPs, ITCs, contractor management plans and drawings for compliance with the project specifications
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders including the Client and the Contractor
  • Keep stakeholders informed about project status and address any challenges that arise.
  • Provide support in the assessment of monthly progress and variation claims.
  • Assist in developing and refining inspection systems.
  • Apply knowledge of policies and technical documents to ensure compliance.
  • Resolve construction issues by fostering positive relationships and effective communication with all parties involved in the project.

Skills | Experience | Qualifications
  • 5 + years experience as a Superintendent, Civil Inspector/Supervisor, Site Manager or Construction Site Supervisor
  • Strong technical experience in either bulk earthworks, structures, roads, dams/water, infrastructure or major projects
  • Sound knowledge of quality management
  • Sound knowledge of drawings and specifications interpretation
