Join a leading advisory and management consultancy specialising in infrastructure, transport and resources advisory. This team provides strategic project development and delivery advice to key government and private clients, shaping a range of major infrastructure projects across Australia.

YOUR NEW ROLE

As Senior Consultant/ Associate Director you will work closely with the Project Director as you provide leading commercial, strategic project advice to government and private clients on major infrastructure and energy projects. Working here will give you the ability to develop and transition your existing project and commercial management skills. Working as part of an experienced team of experts, you’ll provide advice across the full lifecycle of complex, large scale, and high-profile projects from planning to execution.

This will involve:

  • Providing best practice, strategic solutions on commercial, contract management/transactions, and managing and interpreting different contract forms to deliver best client outcomes.
  • Maximising value for clients through effective commercial management, including contract management, asset management and planning
  • Contributing to program management and planning work with the delivery consortium
  • Managing consultation interface with stakeholders - clients, relevant government agencies, authorities, and contractors.
  • Providing expertise and due diligence to complex assignments across major water and resources projects
  • Managing documentation and reporting
  • Driving project performance through service delivery and high-quality solutions

ABOUT YOU

You’ll be an outstanding communicator with a natural ability to influence stakeholders through commercial acumen and program management skills. You build great relationships with others, and always remain solutions focused. Your astute technical skills, ability to influence at all levels of the business, and strong commercial acumen will see you mitigate risks and accomplish value.

  • Experience working on major Infrastructure /Energy/Water projects
  • Degree qualifications in engineering, project management, planning, commercial or law related discipline
  • A minimum of 3-10 years’ experience in a consulting environment, Tier 1 contractors working across major projects
  • Strong coordination ability, good stakeholder management, able to apply critical thinking to complex commercial assignments and claims, able to align the big picture to various packages of work & management of consultants
  • Involvement with government departments, strategic alliances, funders, or operators is highly regarded
  • A respected team player that can deliver complex projects working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • A strategic thinker who is comfortable working through ambiguity and with multiple stakeholders
