The Role:

The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address threats, enforce policies, and ensure adherence to ISO 27001 standards. If you’re passionate about protecting digital assets and thrive in a dynamic environment, this role is for you. This role reports to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). 

Examples of things you’ll work on: 

Security Posture Enhancement: 

• Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures to protect Prvidr’s data, systems, and networks. 
• Continuously assess and improve our security posture by staying informed about emerging threats and best practices. 

Policy Design and Implementation: 

• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines. 
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to align policies with industry regulations and ISO 27001 requirements. 
• Identify and analyse security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. 
• Propose suitable solutions to address specific threat scenarios. 
• Implement preventive and detective controls to minimise risks. 

Compliance and Audit Readiness: 

• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 standards. 
• Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits. 
• Maintain documentation related to security controls and processes. 
• Develop incident response plans and procedures. 
• Respond promptly to security incidents, breaches, and anomalies. 
• Collaborate with incident response teams to contain and remediate incidents. 

Security Architecture: 

• Architect and engineer secure systems. 
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and solutions. 
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle. 

User Awareness and Training: 

• Conduct security awareness programs for employees. 
• Train staff on security best practices and policies. 
• Stay current with industry trends, threat intelligence, and cybersecurity advancements. 

We’re looking for someone who has: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. 
• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role. 
• Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. 
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and compliance requirements. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
