synogize is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to expand our capabilities and complement our team of passionate Data Analytics experts. You must be located in Melbourne. Full permanent working rights for Australia is a must.

Please note: We are only accepting applicants with over 3 years of industry experiences within Data & Analytics space.

  • Have 3-5 years of technical and industry experience
  • Leverage your expertise to drive customer success

To be successful, you would need:

  • Cloud data warehouses like Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake, Databricks
  • ETL tools like Fivetran, Azure Data Factory or similar.
  • Experience in Java / C# / C++ or Python / R
  • 5+ years of SQL experience is a must, as well as working with views, stored procedures, function across database technologies.
  • Ability to understand, manage and handle complex data.
  • Demonstrated the ability to develop data models that cater to specific domains—both conceptual and physical models.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to articulate complex problems/solution for the senior stakeholder to understand.
  • Experience with Data Engineering pipeline design and implementation
  • Experience working with third-party APIs to enable data to flow between different systems.
  • Experience working with any mainstream cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, SAP or GCP
  • Experience with NoSQL (e.g. Cosmos DB, Mongo)

Bonus/Nice to have:

  • Exposure to Machine learning technologies
  • Passionate about data visualisation. Experience with any of the mainstream tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or Redash

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Applied math, Statistics, Physics, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have Valid Permanent Work Visa, Permanent Residency or Citizenship
