As part of our strategic plan to continue to strive for operational excellence in quality, care and compliance, we are introducing a fourth Group Manager Operations to work closely with the current team. Each Group Manager Operations will be fully accountable for 3 homes.

Reporting to the CEO, in this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of a portfolio of facilities.

The portfolio will include accountability and responsibility for operational governance across the organisation, including overseeing the daily operations, strategic direction and performance of the facilities and will include the provision of leadership and support to the Residential Managers to maintain compliance with the facility budgets, staff and roster management, ensuring the effective implementation and adherence to operational frameworks, continuous improvement, actively drive the achievement of occupancy targets and the delivery of a high quality consumer service to existing and potential future residents, whilst ensuring contract services are efficient and delivering quality outcomes. 

The role will require a high level of consultation with the CEO and senior leadership team to ensure service delivery and operational improvements are identified, actioned and maintained at a minimum to meet accreditation standards and strategic operational objectives.

Regular travel to facilities and onsite presence and visibility is a key requirement of the role in order to provide site leadership to the Residential Managers to meet key operational objectives for each facility and undertake relevant operational projects under the direction and guidance of the CEO as required.

About you:

  • A Registered Nurse with Residential Manager experience.
  • Experience in a senior operations management role with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary operational practices and frameworks (highly desirable).
  • Experience in the Aged Care industry and familiarity with the Aged Care regulatory framework is (essential).
  • Knowledge and application of the AN-ACC is desirable. 
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of quality standards and accreditation.
  • Demonstrated experience to effectively manage and implement change to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to coach, inspire and mentor staff.
  • Strong planning, time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and lead projects.
  • High level interpersonal, written, presentation and negotiation skills including ability to liaise and negotiate with key stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strategic and operational competence.
