About you:
In your new role you will…
- Demonstrate knowledge, expertise and skill in Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention and evaluation in the hospital & community setting, including demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
- Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills, including communication and problem solving, suitable for functioning as a professional service provider in a multidisciplinary setting interacting with community agencies and external stakeholders. Experience in a cross-cultural setting is advantageous.
- Possess the ability or ability to rapidly acquire the skills to provide guidance to less experienced staff members, allied health assistants and students.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will deliver Occupational Therapy clinical services proportionate to level of skills and abilities within a variety of acute and sub-acute clinical service areas of Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service facilities.
About your role:
- Provide evidence based, patient focused Occupational Therapy clinical services within acute and sub-acute settings.
- Develop quality leadership skills in relation to the delivery of Occupational Therapy services within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
- Actively participating in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
