We are looking for a people-centric leader to join our Finance Operations team as a Billing Manager. The purpose of this role is to successfully manage a high-performing team to a weekly target of 100% accurate, timely and complete customer invoicing schedule. Team development and continuous improvement are key focus areas to ensure efficient processes and an engaged team, positively regarded within the efm business.

As the Billing Manager, you will:

  • Manage and oversee the training and development of the Billing team including the Billing, Quality Assurance and Support functions
  • Conduct monthly formal performance reviews in line with efm’s performance objectives, including KPI management and associated reporting regarding the efficiency and quality of the functions
  • Accountable for the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of reconciliation of carrier invoices and subsequent production of customer invoices
  • Establish and maintain productive and professional relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all issues are managed smoothly as relevant to the Billing team
  • Provide required analysis and reporting to Senior Management
  • Constant awareness of tracking vs forecast and budget 
  • Instigate and implement process improvements and initiatives, including technology and best business practices
  • Ensure new carriers and customers are “on boarded” in an accurate and timely manner to maximise revenue and minimise billing errors
  • Ensure robust systems and controls are in place, including maintaining documented process maps / procedure manuals of all processes

  • Demonstrated capability to lead and manage a team and a practical understanding of contemporary people management practices.
  • Coaching people – acts as a leader, as a mentor, supports others in professional development.
  • Adaptive to change and leading change – proven track record in identifying and implementing business improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ability and willingness to take a practical approach and undertake work at an operational level
  • Be able to demonstrate strong system, data and analytical skills to determine trends or areas requiring corrective action
