Job Description: My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Lines Underwriter to join the Sydney team. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting a diverse portfolio of financial lines insurance products, including Directors & Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, and Cyber Insurance. This role requires an eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and an understanding of the financial lines market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business for financial lines insurance products.
- Analyze risk exposures and determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior underwriters and other team members.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial lines underwriting, preferably within the Australian insurance market.
- Strong knowledge of financial lines products, including D&O, PI, and Cyber Insurance.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ANZIIF, CIP) are highly desirable.
