CBGU JV is working on Queensland’s largest infrastructure project and we’re building our team for the future. South East Queensland is about to embark on a period of sustained growth in the lead up to the 2032 Olympics, and we are thrilled to be involved in developing Cross River Rail, which will forever change the way Queenslander’s travel.

CBGU JV brings together CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnel & Stations Package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail, the 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD. The project also includes construction of four new underground stations at Roma Street, Albert Street, Boggo Road and Woolloongabba, where the future upgraded Olympic stadium will stand.

The Stakeholder and Communications Team works collaboratively with the broader project team to provide effective internal and external communication. Whilst building Brisbane’s largest infrastructure project, we aim to provide effective communication and community initiatives to maintain and improve relationships with the project’s key stakeholders.

In this role you will:

  • Support the Stakeholder Engagement Manager with managing external community relationships for key construction activities, including:
    • Assisting with the engagement of external stakeholders to continue the high level of project trust, honesty and reliability through action
    • Consulting with the project team to identify and anticipate community concerns and communicate accordingly
    • Developing and implementing a range of communication related activities including community notifications, meetings, complaint management and record keeping.
  • Support the Communications Advisor with the project’s portfolio of marketing communication activities, including:
    • Researching and writing content for a range of internal and external publications including internal and external newsletters, staff bulletins, social media, worker profiles, industry award submissions
    • Coordinating tours and photoshoots on site
    • Producing photo and video content on site including timelapse and GoPro footage
    • Assisting with producing videos for internal communications
    • Assisting with producing internal campaigns e.g. safety, staff awards
    • Assisting with managing internal and external events
    • Assisting with producing site signage.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a communications role
  • Use of Consultation Manager V2.0
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment
  • Team player with a positive, confident approach to working with people
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, business or similar
