The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Commercial Manager to join our team in Perth on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will be maintaining a deep understanding of APA's power generation customers and opportunities in the Pilbara. You will be responsible in day-to-day management of the Pilbara's PPA's and associated agreements (including regulatory obligations), whilst ensuring contract obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-today management of contract obligations and maintenance of contracts register
- Responding to customer queries and prepare detailed correspondence and analysis to support APA's contractual position
- Preparation of commercial analysis to support contractual positions
- Obtaining necessary internal approvals for new contracts or amendments to existing contracts.
- Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments and other key contacts to secure the most effective contract terms for the company.
Your background
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Law or Commerce)
- Extensive experience in a similar commercial role within the renewables, construction or power projects sector
- High levels of contract management and negotiation experience
- Demonstrated experience with financial analysis and modelling
- Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with strong attention to detail
About the Team
We recently acquired Alinta Pilbara - an energy infrastructure business underpinned by high-quality gas power generation and renewable assets and a project pipeline of an estimated $3 billion dollars spread across the Pilbara and by a team with a track record of delivering safe and reliable operations, as well as growth. These Pilbara assets include solar and gas power generation, battery storage, and electricity and gas transmission infrastructure. This has established a platform for the continued growth of APA's firmed renewable energy in Australia's key energy markets.
