Sun Engineering is an Australian based, family-owned steel fabrication and construction company servicing the mining, oil and gas, infrastructure and building industries amongst others. Built from the ground up in Australia over 45 years, we proudly service Australia and the Pacific Region.
Sun Engineering is seeking a SMP Construction Manager to support us in our Mineral Resource Construction Projects. The applicant must be prepared to consider FIFO rosters.
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
The Construction Manager is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, whilst providing technical direction & ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Construction Manager’s responsibilities cover areas of project planning, cost management, scheduling, quality management, contract administration and safety management
You will have:
- Tertiary Qualifications (Advantageous)
- Previous mill experience.
- Demonstrated capability on Mechanical / Piping Construction projects
- Ensuring the safety of all aspects of a project.
- Development and implementation of construction methodologies.
- Scheduling/Programming –preparation, setting of milestones and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Progress Reporting – Internally and client focused.
- Management of project specific Quality Assurance requirements – ensure final product is to necessary quality standard/level.
- Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, timeframes, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project,
staffing requirements, and allocation of resources. - Schedule/Programme – preparation, setting of milestones and ensuring timely completion of projects.
