Financial Controller

Australian Integrated Carbon (AiC) was established in 2012 and is now one of the largest project developers in the Australian nature-based carbon market. With substantial investment from Australian and multinational companies, AiC’s reputation is growing as a trustworthy, technically capable, and innovative company.
As a result of rapid growth, we are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Possess a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Be experienced in developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting
- Prepare high-level financial reporting and analysis
- Form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate excellent organisation and administration skills
- Be self-driven and motivated to make an impact
- Thrive working to tight deadlines
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages
- Demonstrate high levels of business acumen and, ideally, have experience in an ASX listed company.
- Pride yourself on your high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidated monthly management reports on a timely basis, including P&L, cashflow and balance sheet for owned and joint venture entities.
- Manage the financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage project costing across project portfolio.
- Prepare consolidated annual financial statements.
- Collate financial information for external auditors for year-end reporting.
- Liaise with external parties, including auditors, financial institutions, joint venture partners and shareholders.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and legal requirements.
- Manage accruals and prepayments.
- Perform reconciliations.
