The Role
In this role you will alter, repair and modify company uniforms based on specifications, needs, and preferences. You should be confident performing basic garment repairs and alterations, be familiar with sewing machines and demonstrate sound knowledge of fabrics and sewing techniques. Key Responsibilities:
- Alter company uniforms to improve comfort & fit, including shortening sleeves/pant legs, & taking-in/letting-out seams
- Modify & repair uniforms, including tapering pant legs, removing pockets, performing repairs & replacing zippers & buttons
- Assist and perform uniform fittings for employees
- Maintain proper care & maintenance of sewing machines
- Support with operational tasks in the laundry when needed.
About you:
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, clothing design & construction
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, & time management skills
- Terrific sewing skills
- Demonstrated alignment to our core values
