Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

• Base Salary $140k - $145k + $25k Allowance + Super + Annual Bonus
• FIFO from Townsville or Salary Sacrificed from other Centres
• Roster (8 days on, 6 days off, or 4 days on, 3 days off)

The Role

We are seeking a trade-qualified electrical/instrument technician to join the Phosphate Hill team. Reporting to the lead EIC Engineer, you will provide specialist technical advice and services in relation to facility improvements, maintenance and operations. To develop and maintain the standards and procedures for ongoing improvements to the site control system.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead team of Radiation Safety officers
• Provide Technical guidance to the production and maintenance teams
• Assist in the development and maintenance of standards and document systems
• Perform instrumentation maintenance tasks in accordance with procedures
• Provide first level support to carry out root cause investigation 

What you'll bring

• You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture 
• Electrical and/or Instrumentation Trade Qualification
• Experience maintaining industrial gas fired appliances.
• Radiation Safety Officer experience – willing to lead team of RSOs.
• Experience maintaining Control valves
• Experience maintaining and fault-finding fixed vibration and Governor systems

Our Northern Operations

Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
