The Venue Manager will oversee our diverse hospitality operations at the Josef Chromy Wines venue.This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to step into a pivotal role within our senior management team.

Here’s a snapshot of the Venue Manager responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the hospitality operations of the Josef Chromy venue including; Cellar Door, Events, Major Events and Restaurant
  • Ensure the delivery of superior service and maximise customer satisfaction across restaurant, events and cellar door operations
  • Control operational costs in line with budgetary requirements
  • Work cross functionally with operational leaders at Josef Chromy Wines
  • Lead the restaurant, cellar door and events teams including management of staff, training, coaching and recruitment
  • Project delivery of large scale events including Grapes of Mirth, Effervescence, Festivale in conjunction with the Sales & Events department
  • Be responsive to all customer feedback, compliments, complaints and enquiries – face to face, over the phone and via email

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering memorable experiences to guests
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A flexible approach to work, including the ability to work weekends and evenings as required
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, particularly in relation to food safety and alcohol licensing
