 The Acquired Injury Support Services teamwithin Anglicare Tasmania are looking for people with a genuinedesire to provide the best quality care for people withdisabilities. 

We are seeking like minded individuals to join our exceptionalsupport team who exemplify Anglicare Tasmania’s values ofhope, compassion, justice and respect.

Disability Support Worker 

Anglicare’s Disability Support Workers provide direct careand support to clients to ensure that their individual needs aremet. Anglicare works with clients using a person-centredapproach to assist and support clients to live a full life. The aimis to assist clients to develop additional skills in line withtheir goals and support plan.

The things that you may need to work with our clients on mayinclude:

  • personal care (showering, grooming and dressing)
  • medication administration
  • meal preparation
  • transport
  • purchases
  • social support
  • record keeping and reporting

To join our team you must have thefollowing:

  • Australian Residency status or valid Australian workingrights
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care orDisability), or currently working towards one.
  • Experience in the Disability Industry
  • A current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence andan insured, reliable motor vehicle
  • A current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable Peopleregistration
  • A National Police Check (Working with vulnerablepeoples)

IMPORTANT 

  • Successful applicants are required to have an AnglicareTasmania assessed medical before commencement.
  • On commencement successful applicants will be required toundertake our structured Safeguarding Children Trainingprogram.
