We are a steadily growing commercial construction company predominantly working within the local government and education sector is looking for a Full Time Site Manager to join our team.

The role of site manager will involve the on-site supervision and management of trades for your assigned project. You will be working closely with the Project manager also assigned to that particular site, while their focus will be administrative you will be purely focused on the day to day running of the site.

Skills and experience 

Must have a trade background with preference given to carpentry

Minimum of 3 years experience as a Site Supervisor with preferred emphasis on commercial projects.

To thrive in this role, some of the qualities we are looking for are:

  • Excellent understanding of construction drawings
  • Strong communication skills, in order to effectively communicate with trades, clients and fellow staff
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in technology - emails, 1breadcrumb, ProCore and/ or similar
  • Solid understanding and the ability to maintain Safety, Environmental and Quality policies
  • The ability to predict and manage project delays

What you might expect your days will look like;

  • Reporting to the company's director you will be responsible for;
  • Day to Day supervision of site, suppliers, trades and stakeholders whilst ensuring our projects are delivered to company standards
  • Overseeing OH&S practices/procedures are maintained to ensure a safe workplace
  • Manage the project to meet construction program, specification and budget
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders
  • Maintain and control all on-site records and ensure best building practice
  • Use of Project Management software ProCore, 1breadcrumb and RFIs
