Job Title: General Practitioner - Gladstone

Practice Information:
A well established, private billing clinic with an environment focused on high quality patient-centred care with a strong focus on integrative medicine. The clinic is located in a rural area and enables a life/work balance within our beautiful region. The clinic is fully computerised, up to date equipped treatment rooms staffed by a knowledgeable and friendly team.

Position Description:
With the rapid growth of Integrative Medicine, they require an additional clinician to support unprecedented patient demand, currently with a long waiting list. The position, ideally, would suit a doctor who have a keen interest in holistic medicine, and experience in treating women's health issues. Types of conditions commonly seen by practitioners at this clinic range from CDM, weight loss, menopause, hormonal issues and includes cancer patients who need antioxidant infusions to repair damage from chemotherapy. There is a lot of scope for general practice should the incoming GP wish to practice a combination of GP work and integrative medicine, unrestricted doctors with initiative who are interested in learning integrative medicine are also encouraged to apply.

• Flexible working arrangement can be negotiated including part-time or full-time hours –

• Clinic open Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm. No weekend or after-hours work required.

• All marketing, appointment booking, equipment and front desk service taken care of with the assistance of our practice manager, reception, and nursing staff.

• Appointment times ranging from 15 minutes to 45 minutes in duration.

• Focus on continuity of care with a combination of conventional western medicine and complementary medicine and therapies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• MBBS or equivalent

• Must have a current and valid AHPRA GENERAL /SPECIALIST registration.

• FRACGP qualified

• Medical Indemnity Insurance, work as a sole trader and be eligible for a Medicare provider number.

• Working with Children Check

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Able to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

• Able to quickly build rapport with individuals from different backgrounds.

• Strong problem-solving skills and able to use initiative

Salary Information: Percentage of billings depending on qualification and experience.

About Gladstone: Gladstone is situated on the central Qld coast approximately 100km south of Rockhampton. It is the stop over point on the way to Heron Island and is one hour flying time or 6 hours drive from Brisbane. Its stunning locations include access to Great Barrier Reef islands and lagoons, including Heron, Lady Musgrave, North West and Wilson, among others. The region is famous for fishing and boating.
