The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of R&D, you'll get to design new products to add to our award-winning product range. Working across all stages of the design and development cycle; planning, concept design, validation testing, final certification, your designs will be perfect for mass production. With our factory right downstairs from your office, you'll get to see that happen with your own eyes. Exciting
- Work with the marketing team to define customer requirements
- Develop product concepts and ideas that customers will love
- Design, build and test prototypes to validate and prove your concepts
- Prepare technical documentation and help with product compliance
- Work with suppliers and fabricators to refine manufacturable part and product designs
- Engage with the Manufacturing Operations team to put new products into production
- Project manage the whole show, from go to whoa

- Work with the marketing team to define customer requirements

- Prepare technical documentation and help with product compliance

- Engage with the Manufacturing Operations team to put new products into production

- Tertiary qualified in an Engineering Discipline such as Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or an equivalent discipline
- Significantly experienced in the design and development of products for the consumer market
- Have worked in consumer appliances or a highly regulated industry like medical appliances, automotive, aerospace or similar
- Have knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication processes
- Have brought your ideas off the board and into the real world
- 3D CAD skills (Solid works) for the design of parts and production of engineering technical drawings
- Conscientious and detail orientated with continuous improvement mindset
- Loves continuous learning
