NGM Group are seeking an enthusiastic team member to join the team supporting the development of NGM Group’s various sustainability initiatives, with a key focus on supporting the organisation’s Reconciliation Action Plan and Climate Change Action Plan.

In this role you will support the integration of sustainable practices across all levels of our operations and help ensure that our actions align with our values and key strategic focus of helping our customers and communities thrive.

What will your key responsibilities include?

  • Work with the Sustainability Manager to support the development and execution of NGM Group’s Reconciliation Action Plan, promote meaningful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and contribute to national reconciliation efforts.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of the Climate Change Action Plan by collecting data, facilitating initiatives, and contributing to reports and presentations that advance NGM Group’s environmental and climate-related goals.
  • Support NGM Group’s other broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives as required.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to incorporate sustainability principles and practices into daily operations, projects, and decision-making processes.
  • Engage with external partners to foster partnerships that advance NGM Group’s reconciliation /environmental/ sustainability objectives.

What are we looking for?

An enthusiastic individual with a demonstrated passion for sustainability, social justice, reconciliation and climate action.

  • Demonstratable experience providing a high level of administrative support.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan work in order to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Communications, Business or a related field would be highly regarded.
  • Basic knowledge of sustainability practices, reporting frameworks, and relevant legislation would be highly regarded.
