Austral Monsoon Building Products Pty Ltd (AMBP), part of the ASSA ABLOY group is a specialist contractor to the building industry designing, manufacturing and installing products generally for use on building perimeters. Our product range includes proprietary fixed and operable louvres and sun shade / screening systems.

About The Role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager, to join our AMBP business, based on-site in Carole Park, QLD. Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for new relationship development & management of the existing client base. New business development and the ability to generate and convert leads will be critical for success in this role. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assist in the development and expansion of the company’s current customer base on a state scale
  • Identify business opportunities and perform market research to determine new business leads.
  • Research trends and create new opportunities to increase sales in line with ASSA Abloy and AMBP’s business strategy
  • Generate sales, improve margins and build relationships with the current customer base
  • Support implementation of Regional and National Sales Strategy

About You

You will be a result and people-orientated professional, who can bring positive energy and work well in a small team environment. To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • 5+ years’ experience and successful performance in a previous Business Development Manager position or similar role
  • Construction industry experience, with an established network
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to express relevant technical and non-technical concepts clearly
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferable
  • Demonstrate ability to hit KPI targets
