This 12-week Electrical Power Engineering internship opportunity is available at a well-known power engineering firm. The role involves system analysis and design of electrical supply systems across the country. This internship will suit a student or graduate seeking an Electrical Power Engineer Internship.

You will join a team of electrical engineers to plan, design, and test major power systems and grid projects. Depending on your skills and knowledge, the company will assign you to projects focusing on design, R&D. testing, project management, or estimation. This Electrical Power Engineer Internship is the perfect career opportunity for electrical engineering students and graduates who want to enter the market and gain experience.

Electrical Power Engineer Internship roles and responsibilities:
  • Carrying out electrical engineering analysis and upholding compliance with Australian Standards and relevant regulatory acts of legislation.
  • Prepare specifications, drawings, reports and other deliverables as directed by the project team
  • Undertake power system analysis using software such SKM PTW, PSCAD, PSS/E, and other in-house software
  • Support senior site engineers and power systems engineers in design and testing
What you will gain in the Electrical Power Engineer Internship?
  • Proficiency in electrical system design using software such as PSS/E, PSCAD and PSS SINCAL
  • Experience in modelling, creating simulations and testing electrical systems with a focus on power systems
  • Designing power systems, including primary plant, secondary systems, earthing and lighting protection
  • Electrical system monitoring and assessment experience throughout the 12-weeks of internship experience
