A Senior Corporate Finance Analyst opportunity has become available which will see you responsible for preparing key monthly financial reports and providing analysis, advice and recommendations to aid decision making for stakeholders. 

With a hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Corporate Finance and Analytics team.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Support strategic initiatives, the preparation of the financial plan and updates to the AusNet’s Financial model suite including Liquidty, Corporate and Valuation models
  • Respond to queries and requests as required and provide financial modelling and analysis to support key business decisions
  • Aid in the development and maintenance of financial models
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvement opportunities

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Strong Excel and modelling skills
  • Understanding of the interrelationship between financial statements – P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet
  • Exceptional attention to detail in preparing and reviewing deliverables for executive decision making
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial information in the context of supporting/recommending key business decisions
  • Business acumen – understanding of business operations for the relevant area of responsibility, including key inputs/processes/outputs, strategic objectives, and key risks and opportunities
  • You may have had experience in a Big Four consultancy in a similar like role &/or you are looking for your next opportunity in a complex, corporate environment
  • Curiosity to learn and willingness to assist team members with various Corporate Finance related activities
  • CPA / CA qualification (or studying to attain)
