Purpose
The Team Leader is a hands-on configuration role which also has leadership responsibilities for a team of Implementation Consultants within the Delivery team.

The goal of the team leader is to ensure that each of their team members is utilised and developed to their full capability.

The Team Leader is the go-to for day-to-day support and leadership, and they themselves report directly to the Consulting Manager. They are responsible for quality of the team’s work, the commercial outcomes of the team, team skillset coverage and the team’s ongoing development in alignment with their core values.

Role and Requirements
The role will be split 40:60 between Team Lead:Technical Implementation. The Lead had will see you be dedicated to the direct support and leadership of their team members with the remainder available for hands on project implementation activities.
Responsibilities
  • Acting in a leadership capacity with accountability for building the best team, with a deep understanding of what leadership requires.
  • Leading a team of Implementation Consultants of ranging seniority
  • Supporting the Delivery Managers
  • Focussing their team on the priorities of the company and achieving both short- and longer-term goals.
  • Support pre-sales activities as required, particularly as experts in the implementation of the platform, including pre-sales meeting, high-level solution design, estimating and risk assessment.
  • Recruitment, on-boarding and professional development/training of team members
  • Coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Planning and workload management for their team, ensuring full utilisation of all team members.
  • Overseeing design of customer solutions undertaken by members of their team.
  • Implementing configuration best practices.
  • Taking full ownership of the output of their team.
  • Ensuring all administrative processes and practices are adhered to.
  • Ensuring their team maintains a strong focus on commercial outcomes.
  • Design, build and configure insurance products to meet customer requirements.
  • Utilise the full suite of configuration tools within our platform to implement business rules and financial calculations.

  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with a desire to further develop.
  • Ability to work under broad direction, being self-initiated and highly motivated to meet service and quality objectives.
  • Values collaboration and teamwork and focuses on the achievement of team goals.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in the successful, on-time, on-budget delivery of large and complex technology projects.
