For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at Lytton, and have been heavily embedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
Position: Maintenance Mechanical Fitter - Leading HandAs a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter - Leading Hand, you will:
- Perform mechanical fitter duties and supervise mechanical team in a manner that protect safety, health, and the environment, whilst conforming to quality and time requirements.
- Always ensure good housekeeping habits and maintain a safe worksite for yourself and fellow workers.
- Fully qualified / indentured mechanical tradesperson in one of the following disciplines - Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Motor Mechanic, diesel mechanic.
- Demonstrate a minimum of one year oil and gas industry experience.
- Can work independently as well as lead a team of qualified and experienced Mechanical trades.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Hydrostatic/pneumatic testing of pipe work and equipment and reinstatement as per P&ID’s.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform pump alignment and proficient use of such equipment including laser alignment and dial indicators.
- Computer literate, intermediate level of experience with MS Office.
- Successfully completed a supervisory training course.
- Excellent people skills, flexibility to handle variable timeframes with exceptional time management skills.
- Sober habits and high level of emotional intelligence.
