MACA is on the hunt for a Drill & Blast Superintendent to join our mining business, working an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Drill & Blast Superintendent is responsible for all drill and blast activities. You will provide technical advice/expertise, prepare and execute accurate drill and blast schedules and organise resources.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Unrestricted Shotfirers Ticket.
  • Extensive experience supervising drill and blast activities within an operational open pit mining environment.
  • Solid planning/scheduling experience in relation to drill & blast activities.
  • Sound knowledge of the Mines & Safety Inspection Act and Regulations.
  • Attends and contributes to pre-shift, toolbox and safety meetings.
  • Demonstrates sound environmental practices when teams are carrying out tasks.
  • Actively participates and contributes to the continuous improvement and innovation of MACA work practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across the team and departments.
