Asset Management Director, Melbourne

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company operating in the energy sector. They are currently expanding and seeking an Asset Management Director for their Melbourne office.
Responsibilities:- Supporting the Chief Asset Management Officer and the CEO of the Australian division through performance analysis of business operations.
- Structuring and managing the company’s assets, setting goals, managing availability, reliability, and degradation.
- Supporting O&M activities as required.
- Providing best practice asset management inputs.
- Supporting, coordinating, and facilitating decisions on asset acquisitions, repositioning, and optimization.
- Assisting in monitoring other international assets when required.
- Supporting and preparing budgets for the O&M activities.
- Monitoring portfolio performance and investment activities versus budgets, mapping areas of performance shortfall against overall portfolio risks.
- Developing and coordinating business assurance arrangements for compliance and early issue warnings.
- Identifying and quantifying investment risks and recommending mitigation measures to increase returns.
Requirements:
- Degree in Applied Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or Business with a specialization in Asset Management or related qualifications.
- 10-15 years of experience, with 7 years in the power and infrastructure sector.
- Strong technical understanding of wind farms and power plants, emphasizing managing renewable assets.
- Proficient in large-scale corporate processes, business model analyses, and business acumen.
- Excellent commercial, analytical, and technical knowledge of PPAs and regulatory tracking.
Additional Skills:
- Experience in working successfully in a multicultural environment.
