The Role

As a Lead Civil Designer, your responsibility will be to oversee all design documentation and mentor the design team to ensure cost effective designs are produced in a timely manner and are compliant with project requirements and standard codes of practice.

Other tasks

  • Assist with the preparation of fee proposals and document submissions
  • Act as a coach and mentor, recognise and reward individual and team success
  • Clearly communicate roles and responsibilities, delegate tasks accordingly
  • Attend client meetings, keep all stakeholders informed of project progress
  • Ensure the integrity of all documentation and project records

You

To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated experience in leading a team of Engineering professionals. You will also have the capability of leading a team across multiple civil projects varying in size and complexity.

Must have:

  • Min 8 years plus local Australian experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge on local council regulations and codes covering stormwater, sewer and wastewater
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, 12D, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Natural leadership and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
