- Due to substantial growth, this company requests the assistance of Evolve Scientific Recruitment to source an Analytical Developmental Chemist with pharmaceutical experience
- 3-month contract with potential to extend
- Monday – Friday, standard working hours

Reporting to the Senior QC manager you will be required to support the development and validation of analytical methods according to guidelines and pharmacopoeias for development and commercial projects. Your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Lead the development and validation of analytical method related activities for development and commercial projects including new method implementation.
- Develop project plans for analytical development and validation and work on project teams for key client deliverables.
- Develop specifications for key materials and finished products for development and commercial projects. Ensure methods that are developed or implemented are suitable and conform to regulations.
- Provide method development and validation expertise as required. Provide analytical support for process validation.
- Implement process improvement disciplines for the laboratory processes to maximise efficiency and ensure compliance.
- Effective reporting and scientific and technical writing according to GLP / GMP and IDT’s Quality System.
- Facilitate root cause analysis for problems identified with delivery of work involving relevant parties. Identify and implement corrective and preventative actions as required.
- Perform sampling of raw and packaging materials, performing testing of raw and packaging materials, API, FP, in-process production samples, cleaning samples, stability samples (API and FP) and other analysis of samples, where required.
- Master’s or PhD in Organic or Synthetic Chemistry or relevant discipline
- At least 5 years’ demonstrated experience in the pharmaceutical industry and working in accordance with FDA and TGA regulations
- Excellent knowledge of analytical techniques including GC, HPLC, UPLC and wet chemistry.
- Extensive capability and demonstrated experience in development, validation, tech transfer and product life cycle is preferred.
- Experience in method development and validation.
- Strong written communication and report writing skills and protocols.
- Strong ability to present, train and communicate to colleagues, peers, clients and project teams.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate into process and action.
