The Role:
We are seeking a Junior Network Administrator with NV2 clearance to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in service desk or systems administration looking to transition into a network-focused position. The successful candidate will have some experience with Cisco and Palo Alto or equivalent technologies and will assist with various network administration tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Support network change activities and ensure integration and operation of network components.
- Troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues under the guidance of senior team members.
- Help maintain multiple LAN/WAN networks for the organization, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor network security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Participate in learning and development opportunities to grow network administration skills.
- Some experience in network implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of Cisco switching & routing, and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience in service desk or systems administration with a desire to move into network administration.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Recognised vendor training such as CCNA or willingness to pursue certifications.
- Mandatory: NV2 security clearance.
