Australian Family Lawyers (AFL) are the largest National “Specialist Only” Family Law Firm in Australia and are the market leaders in the provision of quality family and relationship legal advice to Australians and overseas clients. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Associate / Practice Leader to drive our Sunshine Coast office
About the Role:Reporting to the Head of Family Law, Queensland this position will work with a small, close knit team based in Maroochydore, with the support of a large, national team of experienced and dedicated colleagues. A typical day will include:
- Advising clients in relation to divorce & separation, property settlements, child support related matters, relocations and de-facto and same sex couples.
- Regular client contact that is empathetic and service and outcome focused
- Building & maintaining strong client relationships
- Business development including building solid referral networks
- File Management
- Supporting and supervising junior staff
- Liaising with a national team of highly experienced family layers in all aspects of day to day matters including professional practice.
You will:
- Have at least 6 years of PAE experience in Family Law
- Have a positive “can-do attitude” with proven experience in running your own cases and file management
- Be goal oriented in achieving exceptional outcomes for clients and AFL
- Possess strong business acumen and understand the importance of managing time, achieving commercial outcomes, and be disciplined in debtor and time management
- Thrive on creating productive networks and referral relationships in your area.
