The Opportunity

Fantastic opportunity for experienced Document & Systems Controller to be part of the West Region Delivery Team, working on critical infrastructure to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facility management services for the next ten (10) years across wastewater and recycled water systems extending from Sydney’s Inner West suburbs out to the Blue Mountains including the Western Sydney Growth Area and part of the North West Growth Centre.

The Commissioning and Completions Document Controller is responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents relating to asset completion and handover to Sydney Water. They control the numbering, sorting, filing, storing, submitting and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by technical teams, projects or departments.

You will be responsible for:

  • Implement the Program Engineering Plan to support Commissioning activities for West Region Delivery Team Construction/Maintenance & Facilities Management Services.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful and sustainable relationships with Sydney Water counterparts - feedback from Sydney Water Document Controllers, Commissioning staff and Project Managers.
  • Successful update & transmit Commissioning document deliverables within 2 business days of requested.
  • Successful completion and close out of actions within CAMs within required timeframe.
  • Email weekly Commissioning and Handover statistics.
  • Identify opportunities where the smart application of technology can assist in Handover and Commissioning efficiencies
  • Continue to support and embed M Files.
  • Assist with completion of WAE drawings within the Design and Engineering teams

What you will need:

  • At least 3 years' experience in an administrative and support role.
  • Tertiary qualifications.
  • Preferential exposure to engineering processes and procedures.
  • Utilities experience essential, preferred experience in working with or around Sydney Water.
  • Meticulous approach to administrative tasks.
  • Attention to detail, highly organised, efficient, and able to multitask.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with office technology and equipment, including machines, printers, copiers, scanners, and computers.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
