Select Plant Australia is one of the largest Specialist Plant Hire service providers in Australia, playing an integral role in the delivery of a wide variety of innovative, high-quality construction projects as part of the Laing O'Rourke Group.
Our primary driver is to guarantee the provision of the highest quality plant and associated services to Laing O'Rourke construction projects and the wider market. Select Plant Hire provides a full service offering through it six major plant categories of Rail, Cranes, General Plant, Heavy / Civil Plant, Fleet and Site Solutions (Buildings and Accommodation).
As Laing O'Rourke has grown into a $6 billion engineering enterprise dedicated to challenging and changing the face of construction worldwide, Select Plant Hire has mirrored the growth of the parent company, servicing a larger portfolio of projects, both in numbers and complexity.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our business .This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately owned tier 1 constructor, and an international engineering enterprise.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the daily logistics activities and be able to communicate well with the members of the team and other internal and external groups.
- Responsible for ensuring (coordination of) delivery and receipt of materials in any area the project will be operating (Receipt, Storage & Inventory).
- Monitoring and managing interfacing contracts logistics to suit project requirements
- Liaison with production team to ensure timely delivery of project goals
- Reviewing project budgets and forecasting
About you
- Hold a Cert IV in Project Management Practices (desired) or Diploma or tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline
- Good experience (minimum 2 years) with construction operations, some of which in a managerial position preferred but not essential. Project logistics experience preferred.
- Proficient at utilising Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
